Recent upgrades include a brand new 39 HP Yanmar engine, exhaust system, propeller shaft, a Furlex 304S headsail furler, AIS transponder installation, EPIRB, 6P life raft, Suzuki 6 HP outboard, renewed seacocks, DZR with gunmetal skin fittings, 2 new toilets, new shower taps and hoses, new swim shower fitted.
The boat comes with a Hood fully battened mainsail (2015), Banks Blade No 2 Headsail (2015), Hood Genoa, a symmetrical and asymmetrical spinnaker. The headsails are rigged on a roller furler from Furlex (2017). The standing rigging was renewed in 2014.
The boat runs on two Duracell 105 amp 12V house batteries (2018) and a 85 amp starter battery. There is an emergency crossover switch. The batteries are charged by the 120 amp alternator and the two 85W solar panels.
Other major upgrades of this Sigma were the removal of the old teak, replaced teak in the cockpit, replaced windows, upgraded upholstery in the saloon, replaced electronics with a chart plotter and a tick tack wind system and a new Raymarine autopilot. Also the keel bolts were inspected and renewed and the supporting structure of the keel and bilge was stiffened. Her interior was revarnished by professionals and all the canvas was renewed (large sprayhood and bimini and a full sun awning). She also had an upgrade of her wiring and main switchboard system.
The boat was antifouled with Hempel professional paint in September 2017. She comes with an AB RIB tender which is stable and dry.
Scehawk is fitted with an iridium Satphone which used on a pre paid SIM card to download grib files when offshore, she also has a Hydrovane wind steering system.
